Decided on an early birthday gift, the new Kindle 2 - a very cool electronic reader. The reader can hold about 1500 books at any one time. There are many ebooks out there for free. Book of Mormon.. $0.80. Instant access to thousands of books- my first ebook.. hmm probably the lovely and always brilliant Ann Coulter.
What Amazon says-
Earth's Biggest Electronic Book Selection: 240,000 Books
At Amazon, we've always been obsessed with having every book ever printed, and we know that even the best reading device would be useless without a massive selection of books. Today, the Kindle Store has more than 240,000 books available, plus top newspapers, magazines, and blogs. This is just the beginning. Our vision is to have every book ever printed, in any language, all available in under 60 seconds on Kindle. We won't stop until we get there.
Whether you prefer biographies, classics, investment guides, thrillers, or sci-fi, thousands of your favorite books are available, including 102 of 111 books currently found on the New York TimesĀ® Best Seller list. New York Times Best Sellers and most new releases are $9.99, and you'll find many books for less.

Happy 28th!
You've had a busy decade and the next one will be even better. Grin.
When I see this photo I think even then you had that motherly instinct. The second picture of you and mom, well that's where you get your instincts. Happy Birthday!
Love Dad

Austin went to youth conference this weekend, under protest. He had a great time though proving once again mom is always right. He showed us his new dance moves which he picked up while there. The Jitter-Bug was one of the "new" dances - I think it was something like this but turn the volume down on the clip and listen to the Boxtops instead-gives it kind of an "edge":

I love Chick-fil-a , the sandwiches are great but the cows are beginning to get on my nerves. Everywhere you look .. cows. On the road to work.. cows. Billboards .. cows. They can't even spell. Even worse they seem to be a bit more militant than usual. What exactly is their agenda?
Another thing why are they wearing party hats? Aren't they supposedly pleading for their very lives? What's up with that? And since when is it "cute" for one species to advocate the destruction of another? What kind of message is "Don't eat us, eat them" anyway. It's not the kind of thing I would teach my children.
I fear we have become pawns in their not so funny campaign. For mercy? Not a chance, this is a world dominance play if ever there was one. Now, we see that cows have not only cleverly enlisted the help of humans, they have tricked unsuspecting bi-peds into wearing "their" uniform. Dress up in cow from head to hoof, indeed! One of my very own daughters has succumbed to their clever entreaty. Wake up daughter before it is too late!
We are not fooled, we are not amused.

Patty was 10 months old in this picture.

I think mom .. I mean Patty is so cute in this picture. She still wants to ride the rides at Six Flags.

It's Taylor turn for orthodontics. He had been looking forward to getting them. These first days though are a bit painful. Then there's the lisp and the sucking back of saliva. The foods you can eat and the foods impossible to eat. Not so much fun but it will pass. Hang in there Taylor.
